Aquatic Biogeochemistry & Ecosystem Ecology
About ME
I am interested in the biogeochemistry and ecosystem function of aquatic systems in response to environmental change, and I am currently a Postdoctoral Associate with Dr. Emily Bernhardt at Duke University. My research examines the fate of organic matter and nutrients as they traverse the land to ocean margin, and I enjoy developing approaches to quantify ecosystem transformation and resilience following disturbance. Teaching and scientific communication are integral to my research, and I am always seeking new mentorship and collaboration opportunities.
I received my PhD from the University of California, Santa Barbara advised by Dr. John Melack and was previously a Modelscape Postdoctoral Scholar with Dr. Joanna Blaszczak at the University of Nevada Reno. I have held research positions at Stroud Water Research Center, the Southern California Coastal Water Research Project, and in laboratories at Vassar College (Keimowitz), the University of Iowa (Just, Forbes) and Texas A&M University at Galveston (Louchouarn). |
