TEaching Philosophy
Biogeochemistry is an inherently multi-disciplinary field and, as a biogeochemist, I perform research using a variety of tools and perspectives. This multi-disciplinary approach translates naturally into my teaching philosophy; I combine laboratory assignments, small group discussion, and real-world application to engage my students. Students leave my class with a more thorough understanding of the core concepts, confidence in their ability to think critically about the material, and the skills necessary to communicate their thoughts to their instructors, their peers, and the wider world.
